Mitch Gutell is the Energy Manager for Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., an Asian restaurant and foodservice company which owns and operates 1600 Panda Express, Hibachi San, and Panda Inn restaurants nationwide. He is responsible for all energy and utility oversight including energy efficiency initiatives and procurement. Mitch has been at Panda for 7 years. Prior to joining Panda, he was Energy and Electrical Systems manager for BP’s U.S. Convenience Retail Unit where he was responsible for 1300 BP and ARCO gas stations and convenience stores. Mitch also worked at Southern California Edison as a Nuclear Engineer and Project Manager in their IT Strategic Planning organization. Mitch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from West Coast University and an MBA from University of Phoenix. He is a member of Edison Electric Institute’s Customer Advisory Board, Ecova’s Client Advisory Board, and the Business Advisory Panel for Southern California Edison.
Robert Hedrich is the National Accounts Originator of Integrys Energy Services, Inc. Mr. Hedrich began his energy career in 1993 with Howard Energy, a deregulated natural gas supplier, as an Account Executive and subsequently served as Manager. In 1999, Bob moved to WPS Energy Services, Inc. as Senior Account Executive. In 2005, Bob was charged with leading the sales of WPS new EMS group. Since 2009, as NAO, he has responsibility for the national sales effort for the non-regulated energy marketing business. Bob serviced as a trainer to new employees on Energy Procurement and on Energy Solutions. Mr. Hedrich holds an Associate degree in Business from Moraine Valley College and a Bachelor degree in Management and Leadership from Kennedy Western University. He is an active member in many associations and services as Planning Group Member for the Edison Electric Institute. Mr. Hedrich is a veteran of the United States Army.
Mark Roche has more than 25 years experience in power generation, energy delivery, energy management, utility marketing, and customer service. He has developed and presented a number of instructional programs on energy management and professional development, with a concentrated focus on how to implement effective energy management programs. Mr. Roche also serves as a core instructor for AEE’s Business Energy Professional (BEP) program, as well as Chair of the BEP board. He is a member of the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) board and is currently the Commercial Energy Management Supervisor for Tampa Electric Company.
Larry has been in the energy field for over 25 years as an energy manager for K-Mart, Blockbuster, Papa John’s Pizza, The Pantry and currently with Extended Stay Hotels. He has done energy consulting for many retail companies as Principal for Xtreme Energy Solutions. Larry was Account Manager for ICF International and Commercial Auditor for Xenergy. Larry’s credentials include Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor and Business Energy Professional. He serves on the Edison Electric Institute Customer Advisory Board and Workshop Planning Group. Additionally, he serves on the Energy Solutions Center’s Customer Advisory Board and Planning Group and is a chapter member of the Association of Energy Engineers. Larry has won numerous awards including the Edison Electric Institute Energy manager of the Year and Green Champion award from Austin Energy. He as a degree Magna Cum Laude in Energy Management from Oakland University.
Susan Davis is currently the Director of Account Management and Community Relations for Questar Gas, a natural gas utility serving Utah and southwest Wyoming. Greg Anderson is a Marketing Manager in the MidTex Division of Atmos Energy, with responsibility for Key Accounts and Customer Retention Programs. Atmos Energy Corporation, headquartered in Dallas, TX, is one of the largest distributors of natural gas in the United States – serving over three million customers in 12+ states. Greg has a 23 year career in the energy industry. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
Andrea Morrison joined Direct Energy as Director of Regulatory and Government Affairs with the acquisition of Strategic Energy in 2008. Collectively, she has held this position for 13 years and has been actively involved in the California retail energy market for 15 years. Morrison is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelors degree in Business and Marketing. Since her involvement in the electricity retail market sector, Andrea has crafted legislation in California which served to benefit the retail electricity market. She also testifies as an Energy Expert at the State and Federal level regarding interests related to retail energy matters. Morrison maintains a number of leadership positions in organizations focused on the policy and promotion of retail choice in the western U.S. She serves as President of the Alliance for Retail Energy Markets (AReM), serves on the Steering Committee for the California Alliance for Competitive Energy Solutions (CACES) and is Board Director for the Arizona Independent System Administrator (AZISA). Her efforts were recently recognized in 2012 when she received the Kent Wheatland Memorial Award from the Western Power Trading forum for her leadership in advancing competitive markets in the Western U.S.
Mr. Main is a Kentucky native and holds a BS from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from the University of Louisville 1985. He began his career in commodity risk management, hedging grain, sugar and by-products for Brown-Forman Corporation, one of the largest American-owned spirits and wine companies (Jack Daniels and other whiskeys). Main entered the energy industry in 1993 and held positions in business development and energy marketing for Summit Energy, Louisville Gas and Electric, then Sempra Energy. In 2000, he joined Yum Brands (KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut) as their National Food Manager. Main eventually became Vice President of Services for Yum’s supply chain cooperative – Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op in 2002 where he is responsible for growing franchisee energy services and developing new restaurant services programs.
Ms. Reed has had a long career at Costco, joining the company in 1987. Through the years, Shay has gained expertise in many areas of within the Costco corporation – from Warehouse Operations to positions in Financial, Margin and Merchandising Accounting. Currently, Reed is the Energy Buyer for Costco Operations in North America and Australia. She is also in the process of energy procurement research for operations in Japan, Spain and France.
